Dear Families,

We are so excited to announce our annual Kindness Week, January 23rd – January 27th! The week will be filled with ways for our students to learn, explore, and practice kindness. We will have a spirit week with kindness challenges and fun activities to do in school and at home. We hope you all get excited about spreading kindness! Studies have indicated that promoting kindness in youth helps foster self-confidence, optimism, leadership, and increased happiness.

* Just a reminder that spirit days are optional

Great Kindness Challenge – This week find ways to check off some of the activities from the Great Kindness Challenge List! Spirit Day – “Workout problems with kindness” (Wear workout/cozy apparel)

Book Reading – Students will read the book “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?” Discuss ways you can be kind with your child! Spirit Day – “Team Kindness” (Wear your favorite sports team)

Compliment Day! – Find ways to compliment someone today! Spirit Day – “Peace, love and kindness day!” (Wear tie dye!)

Be kind to helpers! – Take time to thank all of the people that help you each day- bus drivers, cafeteria helpers, your teacher, your family- the list goes on! Spirit Day – “Wear something that makes you smile” (Maybe a shirt with a positive message, a shirt with your favorite place, or your favorite color!)

Pay it forward! - Bring in any non-perishable food items and we will donate it to Phoenixville Area Community Services! Spirit Day – “Orange you happy when people are kind!” (Wear Orange!)
