Mrs. Heather Moll
Information: I grew up in northeast PA and settled in this area after completing my degree at Millersville University back in 2005. Last year, I completed my Masters at Messiah College. When I'm not doing something musical, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters or going for a run/hike. I have run a variety of 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, and I ran the Broad Street race the year before it turned into a lottery. Perhaps someday I'll take on the full marathon!
Favorite: With all of the amazing things happening in our music department, it is challenging to select one thing that is my favorite! Teaching 4th and 5th grade students how to play an instrument is thrilling, and it is a joy to see how far they progress from one year to the next. One of my favorite moments is when the beginner students have their very first concert in January. I combine the Manavon and Schuylkill band students totaling roughly 140 students on the stage. We meet as an ensemble about one hour before the performance for the parents and rehearse as a group. When the performance starts, the pride and excitement that the musicians feel overflows into their playing, and the audience is always so supportive and encouraging. It is a fantastic evening and a memorable one for everyone involved!
