Schuylkill Elementary School Announcements

The Great Kindness Challenge is here!

On the week of January 22-26, Schuylkill School will be partaking in this nationwide challenge.  We will focus specifically on being kind to each other, with universal dress, quotes and a school wide activity.  This year, we will have paper pavers that a student can decorate to nominate another student for a specific kind act that has been done recently.  We will collect these pavers and assemble into a Schuylkill wall of kindness that can be a visual reminder of the kind gestures we do regularly. We will even pick pavers and the person that committed the kind act may have an opportunity to be in our new video for school wide behavior, be a messenger to help or another special acknowledgement. These are the days and our dress idea:

Monday- Crazy sock day- Wear crazy or mismatched socks to show that we are crazy for kindness.

Tuesday- Pajama Day- Wear some pajamas to symbolize how we want everyone to be safe and comfortable in school.

Wednesday- Wear bright or neon colors to show how bright we can make someone’s day with an act of kindness.

Thursday- Wear red, pink or an inspiring message to show the love and warmth we want to convey to others.

Friday- Let’s finish the week with our Schuylkill Pride to show we think Schuylkill is the kindest, best place to be!
