World Language

The Phoenixville Elementary World Language Program will once again be offering classes in Spanish, French, German and Italian. Students from grades 1-5 meet once a week on Thursday after school to experience the joy of communicating in another language.  The goal is for the students to develop an ear for another language and an interest in another country and culture. We work on vocabulary and simple sentence structure. We do not teach grammar, don't have assessments and don't give homework. We sing, recite poems, play games and work on short skits. Every year we pick a theme, and we repeat after 5 years, so that students who are with us the entire time, get something new every year.  Most of all nos divertimos mucho; on s’amuse beaucoup; wir haben viel Spass; abbiamo un sacco die divertimento!
